    Emergency Self Report release notes

    ServiceNow® Emergency Self Report is a new application in the New York release.

    Emergency Self Report helps a user notify their organization that they are self-quarantined and when the user will be back at work, and provides workflow support for both the organization and user.

    Important: Emergency Self Report is available in the ServiceNow Store. For details, see the "Activation information" section of these release notes.

    Emergency Self Report features

    Report and track health statuses during an emergency
    When an emergency occurs, users can self-report their health status to their managers. Managers can track the health status of their users and use a dashboard to stay updated on their team's health and safety. Response teams can see the status for all users and sort the data for analysis and action.
    View self-reported user HR tasks
    The Emergency Self Report dashboard provides members of the emergency response team with a high-level summary of user reports and HR tasks. Users with the HR emergency response role can also open a self-report on behalf of anyone in the organization.
    Import Crisis Task data
    As a crisis task administrator, upload a spreadsheet of self-reported health statuses to create crisis tasks in bulk.
    Mobile experience for Emergency Response Management
    Report your own health status with the Now® Mobile app. Managers can also use Now Mobile to view and edit the status of their direct reports and reassign tasks to working users.
    Use guided setup to implement Safe Workplace apps
    The Safe Workplace guided setup provides a sequence of tasks that help you configure the Safe Workplace and Emergency Response Management applications on your ServiceNow instance. To open the Safe Workplace guided setup, navigate to Guided Setup > Safe Workplace Guided Setup. For more information about using the guided setup interface, see Using guided setup.

    Emergency Self Report upgrade information

    Starting in version 1.0.9, users can localize strings with the sn_imt_quarantine.crisisSubmitMessage and sn_imt_quarantine.openTasksInfoMessage properties, which were moved to the sn_imt_quarantine_emergency_self_report_ui_configuration table. If you didn't change the default English strings, the strings will be localized after you upgrade to version 1.0.9 or later.

    Activation information

    Install Emergency Self Report by requesting it from the ServiceNow Store. Visit the ServiceNow Store website to view all the available apps and for information about submitting requests to the store.

    Federal customers using IL4 or FedRAMP environments will see the apps ready and available to install on their instances without having to make any special requests. Customers are responsible for configuring the apps to meet US federal regulations and guidelines. FedRamp IL4 and FedRamp Mod/L2 customers will need to configure the Emergency Outreach application to use email only instead of email and Now® Mobile notifications.
    Note: The Emergency Outreach application has an optional mobile push capability that cannot be used by a US federal customer in the FedMod or FedRamp/IL4 (GCC) environment at this time. They will still be able to use the app with email as a primary means of reaching their employees. These customers also cannot use the Emergency Response Management for Now Mobile app.

    The ServiceNow® Safe Workplace mobile experience enables organizations to manage the essential steps for returning users to the workplace from anywhere with the Now Mobile app. With an intuitive mobile design and user-friendly interface, organizations can deliver a seamless return to workplace experience, enabling users to complete health screenings and surveys, set up visits, make reservations, request PPE, and more to support their health and safety.
    Emergency Response Operations
    The Emergency Response Operations application was initially created by the Washington State Department of Health and enhanced by ServiceNow engineering. The application helps state and local government agencies to plan, coordinate, and activate their resources in critical locations during emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic or other events.

    The ServiceNow® Emergency Exposure Management application helps identify users who might have been exposed to infectious diseases by analyzing multiple data sources such as meetings, location, shifts, Wi-Fi access logs, and badge scans of affected users.

Organizations agree that use of the application is not a representation by ServiceNow regarding the application’s compliance with any law or regulation and any suggested language provided out of the box with the application does not constitute legal advice by ServiceNow.

    Organizations remain solely responsible for complying with their legal obligations under applicable law, including (but not limited to) data protection and employment laws, and should modify any language within the templates provided to meet the Organizations’ specific requirements.
