    Process pending Risk acceptance tasks with the GRC Mobile application

    Process pending approval requests for Risk Management acceptance tasks that are submitted to you.

    Before you begin

    Role required: GRC risk manager (sn_risk.manager)

    About this task

    Approve or reject a pending request from the list of records. Alternatively, view the details of the record or add a work note prior to processing the request. Time to complete this task: 5-10 minutes.

    Procedure

    1. If you are not logged in to your Now Platform instance on your mobile device, for more information see Log in to the GRC Mobile application.
    2. With the Risk landing screen displayed, tap Risk Acceptance Tasks.

      If you navigate away from the GRC Mobile application after you have logged in, tap the Now Agent app at any time to return to the last screen you had displayed.

    3. (Optional) If you want to reduce the number of records that are displayed on the screen, see Filter records with the GRC Mobile application to search for records that match specific search criteria.

      Filtering records on screens in the mobile app works like filtering with a condition builder on the Now Platform. Setting filters can reduce the number of records that are displayed on screens.

    4. To approve or reject a request directly from the list, with the Risk Acceptance Tasks screen displayed, swipe left on a record to open the menu.

    5. On the menu that is displayed, choose one to continue.

      Approve In the Comments field, enter comments. Comments are optional for approvals. Tap the Send icon (Send icon.) or Submit to save and submit your changes.
      Reject In the Comments field, enter comments. Comments are required for rejections. Tap the Send icon (Send icon.) or Submit to save and submit your changes.
    6. Alternatively, with the Risk Acceptance Tasks screen displayed, follow these steps to view more details or add a work note to a record on the list.
    7. With the Risk Acceptance Task screen displayed, tap the record to open it.
    8. To view more details, on the record that is displayed, tap Approval for to view the Risk Acceptance Task.
    9. Tap the task record that is displayed to open it.

      On the record that is displayed, choose one from the following table to continue.

      Details tab With the Details tab selected, to approve or reject the request, at the top left of the screen, tap the back arrow icon

      two times to navigate back to the Risk Acceptance Task record. With the Risk Acceptance Task screen displayed, tap the menu icon (Menu icon) to approve or reject the request. Follow the steps described in the preceding table.
      Activity Stream tab With the Activity Stream tab selected, follow these steps.
      1. View the work notes and additional comments. To add a work note or attach a file, tap the plus icon (Plus icon.).
      2. Navigate back to the Risk Acceptance Task record as described in the preceding option and tap the menu icon (Menu icon) to approve or reject the request.
      Tap a screen icon at the bottom of the screen. On the bottom of the screen, choose one to continue.
      • Tap the Risk icon to return the landing screen.
      • If displayed, tap an icon to open another ServiceNow® mobile app.
      • Tap More:
        • Tap Notification to view notifications from the Now Platform and the GRC Mobile application.
        • Tap More followed by Settings. Tap Log out to log out of the current instance.
