  • Punctuation and capital letters are ignored

  • Known synonyms are applied
  • The most relevant topics (based on weighting and matching to search terms) are listed first in search results

    Finance Close Automation overview

    The Finance Close Automation (FCA) application simplifies the accounting and finance close process for your organization. You can post journal entries, manage timelines for close tasks, and perform end-to-end accounting procedures in a centralized workspace.

    You can use FCA to:
    • Plan monthly finance close for an accounting period.
    • Create close tasks for accountants.
    • Prepare and post journal entries in your Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
    • Monitor the close progress in real-time.
    • Enable external auditing of the work done by accountants.

    Integration with ERPs

    ServiceNow FCA supports integration with your ERP systems. FCA supports multi-ERP integrations. The integration enables accountants and managers to perform the following activities in FCA:
    • Post journal entries
    • Reverse journal entries
    • Auto-reverse accruals

    Integration with the following ERPs is available:

    Integration with SAP
    FCA integration with SAP automates the journal entry postings through a close task into the SAP system.
    Integration with Oracle EBS
    FCA integration with Oracle EBS automates the journal entry postings through a close task into the Oracle system.
    Integration with Oracle NetSuite
    FCA integration with Oracle NetSuite automates the journal entry postings through a close task into the Oracle NetSuite system.

    Integration with GRC

    ServiceNow FCA supports integration with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application. The integration enables the finance users to manage policies, controls, and attestations from within the FCA. When you choose certain criteria in a close task, the corresponding GRC control is auto-populated based on predetermined mapping. For more information, see Finance Close Automation integration with GRC.

    Guided setup to implement FCA

    FCA Guided Setup provides a sequence of tasks that help you configure FCA on your ServiceNow instance. To open FCA guided setup, navigate to Finance Close Automation > Guided Setup. For more information about using the guided setup interface, see Using guided setup.
