  • Punctuation and capital letters are ignored
  • Special characters like underscores (_) are removed
  • Known synonyms are applied
  • The most relevant topics (based on weighting and matching to search terms) are listed first in search results
Topics are ranked in search results by how closely they match your search terms
  • A match on the entire phrase you typed
  • A match on part of the phrase you typed
  • A match on ALL of the terms in the phrase you typed

    Configure on-call calendar subscription URL

    Configure the on-call calendar subscription URL before you send it to members of your rota.

    Before you begin

    Roles required: admin, rota_admin, or rota_manager

    About this task

    This URL is sent as an iCal link that they can use to subscribe to their on-call calendar from their preferred calendar client.
    Note: The subscription URL supports basic authentication. This means that the end user must provide their instance credentials to authenticate themselves to view their on-call events. Currently, only the Calendar application on Mac OS X 8.0 onwards and the Outlook application on Windows 2013 onwards support basic authentication for calendar subscriptions. If SSO is in use, basic authentication is still required to subscribe with the URL.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to On-Call Scheduling > My Group Schedules.
    2. Select the rota for which you want to send the on-call calendar subscription URL.
    3. Specify the following details in the Calendar Subscription section.
      Name Definition
      Coverage interval Select if you want to update the subscribed calendar with weekly or daily coverage details.
      Get coverage for Based on your coverage interval selection, select the number of weeks or days for which you want to update the subscribed calendar.
    4. Click Update to save the details.
