Activate Financial Management The Financial Management Core (com.snc.financial_management) plugin requires a separate subscription from the rest of the Now Platform. Before you beginRole required: admin About this task Financial Management Core (com.snc.financial_management) plugin activates the following applications: Financial Modeling (formerly known as Cost Transparency) Financial Charging (formerly known as Financial Reporting) for the showback and service charging features Based on your requirement you can activate the following related plugins: Plugin name Description Default Financial Management Cost Model [com.snc.financial_management_model] Activates the default cost model and all its related entities such as rollups, overrides, buckets, bucket allocations, cleansing conditions, and grooming conditions required for Financial Modeling and comes with demo data. Financial Management For CSM [com.snc.financial_management_for_csm] Enables integration of Financial Management with Customer Service Management providing preconfigured cost models and a dashboard. (Applies only if CSM is installed.) Financial Management For FSM [com.snc.financial_management_for_fsm] Enables integration of Financial Management with Field Service Management providing preconfigured cost models and a dashboard. (Applies only if FSM is installed.) Note: Performance Analytics – Content Pack – Financial Management for Customer Service and Field Service require a separate subscription. To purchase a subscription, contact your ServiceNow account manager. After purchasing the subscription, activate the plugin within the production instance. You can evaluate the feature on a sub-production instance without charge by requesting it from the HI Customer Service System. The Financial Management plugin is the basic plugin for the application. Budget plan data and forecast data are both included in demo data. Procedure Navigate to System Definition > Plugins. Find and click the plugin name. On the System Plugin form, review the plugin details and then click the Activate/Upgrade related link. If the plugin depends on other plugins, these plugins are listed along with their activation status. If the plugin has optional features that depend on other plugins, those plugins are listed under Some files will not be loaded because these plugins are inactive. The optional features are not installed until the listed plugins are installed (before or after the installation of the current plugin). (Optional) If available, select the Load demo data check box. Some plugins include demo data—Sample records that are designed to illustrate plugin features for common use cases. Loading demo data is a good practice when you first activate the plugin on a development or test instance. You can also load demo data after the plugin is activated by clicking the Load Demo Data Only related link on the System Plugin form. Click Activate.
