COE Configuration

COE Configuration shows the base system Center of Excellence (COE) provided. You can turn off any COEs your company does not use.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_hr_core.admin

Only licensed COEs appear. COEs represent HR catalog categories, but also the service life cycle functionality across definition, request, and fulfillment. Refer to View or modify Center of Excellence (COE).

If your company:
  • Does not use COEs.
  • Wants to deactivate COEs.
  • Has multiple environments and you're using system update sets to update changes.
  • You must deactivate COEs manually on all your environments.
    Note: System update sets capture deactivation in one environment, but after a patch or upgrade, COEs are active in your other environments. See System update sets.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to HR Administration > COE Configuration.
  2. Enable the COE (green) or disable (gray) it.

  3. Click Save.
    Only active COEs appear when creating or transferring an HR case.
    Note: Tables are where cases get created. Creating a COE means creating a table that extends the HR Case [sn_hr_core_case] table. To add new COEs to your HR case interceptor page, see Modify the task interceptor.
