Add a test case to a test plan

The test manager can add a test case to a test plan.

  1. Navigate to Test Management > Test Execution > Test Plans.
  2. Open the desired test plan.
  3. In the Test Cases related list, click New.
  4. Fill in the fields (see table).
  5. Click Submit. The new test case is added to the Test Cases related list.

    Field Description
    Number

    The automatically assigned test case number. For example, TMTC0001005.

    Active Check box for activating the test suite. Active test suites are displayed in the Test Suite field on the Add Test Cases from Test Suite dialog box.
    Test Suite The test suite this test case belongs to. A test suite is made up of one or more test cases.
    Short Description A brief description of the test case.
    Prerequisites Any conditions that must be met before the test case is executed.
