Activate the Password Reset Orchestration Add-on plugin

For extra functionality, including the ability to reset passwords on Active Directory, you must use the Password Reset - Orchestration Add-on plugin. The plugin provides two credential store types that are not available in the basic Password Reset application.

Before you begin

To purchase a subscription, contact your ServiceNow account manager. The account manager can arrange to have the plugin activated on your organization's production and sub-production instances, generally within a few days.

If you do not have an account manager, decide to delay activation after purchase, or want to evaluate the product on a sub-production instance without charge, follow these steps.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to HI.
  2. Click Service Catalog.
  3. Click Request Plugin Activation, and fill out the form.
    Target Instance Select the instance on which to activate the plugin.
    Plugin Name Enter the name of the plugin to activate.
    Date and time you would like the plugin to be enabled

    Leave this field empty to have the plugin activated as soon as possible, or specify a date and time at least 12 hours in the future.

    Note: Plugins are generally activated during business hours in the Pacific time zone, but can be scheduled for a different time with advance notice.
    Reason/Comments Add any information that would be helpful for the ServiceNow personnel activating the plugin.
  4. Click Submit.
