Add a field that contains a unique numerical identifier for each record to a list.

Before you begin

Danger: Modifying or deleting a Sys ID can result in bad or lost data.

Role required: admin

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > System UI > Lists.
  2. Select a record from the UI View that you want to modify.
    For example, default.
  3. Select the record for the Table and View you want to modify.
  4. In the List Elements related list, click New.
  5. On the form, fill in the fields.

    Field Description
    Element The element you're adding to this list. Enter sys_id.
    Position A number for the location of the section element on the list.
  6. Select Submit.
  7. Execute a cache flush by appending your URL with /cache.do.

Result

The Sys ID field is now visible in your list.
