Legal Counsel Center Classic enables legal department members to categorize, prioritize, and efficiently address legal issues.
- The legacy Legal Counsel Center was renamed as Legal Counsel Center Classic.
- Legal Counsel Center Classic is being prepared for deprecation. It will be hidden and no longer available for activation for new customers but will continue to work and be supported for existing customers. For enhanced workspace experience, use Legal Counsel Center. For details, see the Deprecation Process [KB0867184] article in the Now Support knowledge base.
- If you are upgrading Legal Counsel Center Classic to the latest Xanadu release versions, make sure you have first upgraded it to the Washington DC release version of 6.3.8 or 6.4.1.
- If you are using Legal Counsel Center Classic and want to upgrade to the Xanadu family release, ensure you upgrade to the Washington DC release first.

The ServiceNow® Legal Counsel Center Components application enhances the workspace experience for the Legal Counsel Center Classic by decoupling the components in the Legal Counsel Center Classic to offer better performance.

Legal Counsel Center Classic includes the following features:
- Department and user level metrics
- Get an overview of new, assigned, unassigned, and high-priority requests. Review and act on upcoming milestones and pending approvals.
- Multi-tab interface
- Track and address multiple requests concurrently by navigating between multiple open records.
- Real-time activity feed
- View activities related to legal requests and legal matters and notifications in real time.
- Intuitive search and filter capabilities
- Search for relevant information across multiple sources such as knowledge bases, open and resolved legal requests and legal matters, and catalog items in Counsel Assist.
- Compose and send emails
- Compose and send emails from within the Legal Counsel Center Classic from a legal request, legal matter, or matter task record forms. You can also compose emails and save them as drafts for sending them later.
Legal Counsel Center Classic users
Users with the sn_lg_matter.matter_fulfiller and sn_lg_ops.request_fulfiller roles can access Legal Counsel Center Classic and is personalized for different roles.
