User roles
To use Security Center, you must have the admin or sn_vsc.security_center_viewer.
Required role | User | Benefits |
---|---|---|
admin |
This role grants access to all system features, functions, and data, as administrators have the ability to override access control list (ACL) rules and bypass all role checks. Avoid assigning this role to your users when more specific roles are available. |
Utilize Security Center tools to enhance instance security posture and monitor security-related behaviors. |
sn_vsc.security_center_viewer |
This role permits non-administrator users to access information within the Security Center but restricts them from modifying Security Center tools or making instance configuration changes. For instance, platform owners, security operations analysts, or compliance stakeholders may require access to certain security Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), security insights, and security learning materials available in the Security Center. |
