Advanced Risk

  • The options to mandate a risk response for a breach of appetite or a breach of tolerance were removed from the RAM form. Users on legacy releases can continue to use these options, but they're no longer supported in the Vancouver release.
    Note: By using condition builder or scripts, you have the flexibility to configure the risk response as required if there's a breach of appetite or tolerance.

Cloud Cost Management

The Cloud Cost Management Core user interface and Cloud Spend dashboard are planned for future deprecation.

Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

  • CMDB Search is now deprecated and no longer supported or available for new activation. For details, see the Application/Plugin Deprecation Process [KB0867184] article in the Now Support knowledge base. Instead, use CMDB Intelligent Search which is embedded in the CMDB Workspace (5.0.5) store app.
  • Starting with the Vancouver release, the ServiceNow hosted Service Graph Connector for Extrahop is being prepared for future deprecation. It will be hidden and no longer activated on new instances but will continue to be supported. The Extrahop hosted Service Graph Connector for Extrahop provides the latest experience for this functionality. Core Now Platform

  • The glide.script_processor.admin and com.glide.journal.strict_acl properties have been deprecated

Customer Service Management (CSM)

The following features and plugins are being prepared for future deprecation. They’ll be hidden and no longer available for activation but will continue to be supported. For details, see the Deprecation Process [KB0867184] article in the Now Support knowledge base:

Encryption Key Management

  • The following system properties have been deprecated and can’t be changed. These properties now default to the safe value that is listed in the following table. For a use case where the property has to be changed, contact customer support.

    glide.security.sandbox_no_unsafe_methods true Prevents dangerous methods from being run in the JavaScript sandbox on an instance.
    glide.security.strict.updates true Verifies that a user has the appropriate access control list (ACL) rule permission to update a form on form submission or field update.
    glide.ui.escape_text true Escapes XML values at the parser level for the user interface. Prevents the reflected and stored cross-site scripting attacks.
    glide.ui.security.codetag.allow_script false Disallows the rendered HTML in journal fields and forms to prevent the cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks when malicious HTML is inserted between the code tags.

Environmental, Social, and Governance Management

  • Starting with the Vancouver release, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) ESG content accelerator and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) ESG content accelerator are being prepared for future deprecation. They will be hidden and no longer activated on new instances, but they will continue to be supported.
  • The ESG content accelerator application provides the latest experience for this functionality. For details, see the Deprecation Process [KB0867184] article in the Now Support Knowledge Base.

Event Management

The Operator Workspace is deprecated. Use Service Operations Workspace instead.

Field Service Management

Starting with the Vancouver release, the following plugins and features are no longer deployed, enhanced, or supported. For details, see the Deprecation Process [KB0867184] article in the Now Support Knowledge Base.
  • Legacy Field Service Management Workspace plugin (com.snc.agent_workspace_fsm).
  • Team calendar and Manager map plugins (com.snc-work_management).
  • Agent location history map plugin (com.snc.agent_schedule).
  • Map plugin (com.snc.fsm_map). Instead, use the Dispatcher Workspace plugin (com.snc.uib.fsm_dispatcher_workspace).
  • Clean Geolocation History schedule job. Instead, use Table clear. For more information, see Table cleaner.
  • Service Management Geolocation Mobile (com.snc.service_management_m). Instead, use Field Service Mobile (com.sn_fsm_mobile).
  • Schedule Optimization commom (com.snc_schedule_optimization.common). Instead, use Schedule Optimization Plugin (com.snc_schedule_optimization).
  • Schedule Optimization UI components (com.snc_schedule_optimization.ui). Instead, use Schedule Optimization Plugin (com.snc_schedule_optimization).
  • Agent Scheduling Model plugin for Flexible breaks feature in Schedule Optimization (com.snc.app_fsm_sched_model). Instead, use Workforce Optimization for Field Service to manage agent schedules and breaks (com.snc.app_fsm_wfo).

ITOM Visibility

Creating schedules for discovering cloud resources using classic Cloud Discovery is planned for deprecation. Consider moving to Cloud Discovery Workspace.

Identity and Authentication

  • The MultiSSO v1 is deprecated. Upgrade to MutliSSO v2 from MultiSSO v1.

  • The SAML 1.1 and SAML 1.1 Single Sign-On - Update 1 plugin is deprecated. The SAML-based identity providers (IdP) have already migrated to SAML 2.0. To use SAML 2.0, you must install the MultiSSO and configure your identity provider.
  • The OpenID SSO plugin is deprecated. To use OpenID Connect (OIDC), you must install the MultiSSO and configure your OIDC-based identity provider.

Integration Hub

  • The JSON portion of the Payload Builder step is deprecated and replaced by the JSON Builder step.
  • Starting with the Vancouver release, Microsoft Active Directory Spoke is being prepared for future deprecation. It will be hidden and no longer activated on new instances but will continue to be supported. Microsoft Active Directory v2 Spoke provides the latest experience for this functionality. Natural Language Understanding

  • NLU support in Dev Studio is being deprecated from Vancouver. However, NLU support in Dev Studio will continue to work as is in all of the pre–Vancouver instances.
  • In this case, we recommend that customers use the NLU Workbench instead.

Notify

Twilio has announced the EOL (End of Life) for Twilio Notify, which affects bulk SMS functionality that enables you to send an SMS message to multiple recipients within a short time using one API call to Twilio. Order Management

The Order Management for Customer Service Management application is being prepared for future deprecation. It will be hidden and no longer available for activation but will continue to be supported. For details, see the Deprecation Process [KB0867184] article in the Now Support knowledge base.

Platform Analytics Workspace

  • The Analytics Center in non-configurable workspaces is deprecated.
  • Core UI Reporting functionality is deprecated in favor of Data visualizations in configurable workspaces for net new instances and instances that have migrated to the Platform Analytics experience.
  • Core UI Dashboards functionality is deprecated in favor of Dashboards in configurable workspaces for net new instances and instances that have migrated to the Platform Analytics experience.

Public Sector Digital Services

Important: Any data in the Services Offered and Services Received tables need to be manually migrated into the Service Definition table. You can do so by creating a Service Definition for each entry in the Services Offered table. For more information, see Services Offered and Services Received Migration Guidance.
Upon upgrade, the Services Offered and Services Received tables will be deprecated and replaced by the Service Definition table. Service Offered, which is an extension of Product Model, will no longer be used to model government services. Services Received, which is an extension of Sold Product, will no longer be used to model the government services that have been granted or delivered to constituents. The Service Definition table, which is extended from Service Model [cmdb_service_product_model], is now used to model all public services that are offered by agencies. Security Incident Response

  • ServiceNow® Security Incident Response no longer supports the Threat Crowd integration. Therefore, if you run a threat look-up against any observables using the Threat Crowd integration, you might see an error.   • ServiceNow® Security Incident Response no longer supports the Tanium integration v2 integration. For details, see the Deprecation Process [KB0867184] article in the Now Support knowledge base.

Software Asset Management

Starting with the Software Asset Management - SaaS License Management 12.0.6 version, Cisco Webex Meetings integration is no longer deployed or enhanced. Instead, use the Cisco Webex integration profile to integrate with Webex Meetings and other Webex applications.

Telecommunications Network Inventory

Starting with the Vancouver release, the following features are no longer deployed, enhanced, or supported. For details, see the Deprecation Process [KB0867184] article in the Now Support Knowledge Base:

  • Related party
  • Telco equipment holder
  • Fiber-wise mobility infrastructure change model

User Experience Analytics

  • The following system properties, which were used to customize opt-in and notice pop-ups, are being deprecated from the Vancouver family release:
    • glide.analytics.user.consent.popup.disabled
    • glide.analytics.user.auto.consent
    The change was made to enable basic tracking and country-based consent tracking. To address consent functionality, see .
  • The following message IDs, found in the sys_ui_message list properties, are being deprecated from the Vancouver family release:
    • glide.analytics.consent.eu.text
    • glide.analytics.consent.other.text

Virtual Agent

  • The com.glide.cs.html.sanitizer.enabled Glide property has been deprecated. In this release, the value is set to true and can't be changed. If the value in your instance is set to false, this setting is retained for now.
  • The Save as Image button has been deprecated. In this release, the button and its function have been removed. Screen shots of a topic diagram can still be taken by all other available means.

Vulnerability Response integrations
