The Vancouver release is no longer supported. As such, the product documentation and release notes are provided for informational purposes only, and will not be updated.
The ServiceNow® Notifications application enables you to create, manage, and send custom notifications for workflows for important events, actions, and alerts. Notifications was enhanced and updated in the Vancouver release.
Notifications highlights for the Vancouver release
- Secure mobile notifications with HTTP v1 authentication support for Android-based push applications.
- Improve productivity and the user experience for configurable workspaces by including attachments from emails while replying or forwarding emails.
- As a Workspace user, search and apply email client templates while composing emails.
- Assign the email_client_template_write role for write access to email client templates.

- HTTP v1 authentication support for Android apps
- Configure push notifications for Android-branded apps using HTTP v1 authentication.
Changed in this release
- Forward email with attachments
- Include attachments from emails while replying or forwarding emails by selecting the Include attachment from email option in the Email Client Template.
- ACL roles on email client templates
- Users with the email_composer role are able to read email client templates.
- Added the email_client_template_write role.
- Added write privileges for users with the email_client_admin role.
