The ServiceNow® Project Portfolio Management application enables you to create and manage a wide range of projects ranging from a few small tasks to large portfolios of projects. Project Portfolio Management was enhanced and updated in the Vancouver release.
Project Portfolio Management highlights for Vancouver release
- Work on resource assignments easily from the ServiceNow® Project Workspace.
- As a Resource Manager, get a dedicated Resource Management Workspace to view resource allocation and requests.
- Effortlessly manage planned costs and expense lines for your project financials directly from the Project Workspace.
New in the Vancouver release
- Managing financials for your projects
- Plan and manage projects using the new, interactive UI. Starting with the Vancouver release, you can create and manage cost plans by using the new Project Workspace. For more information, see the Project Workspace release notes.
- Resource Management Workspace
- View the allocation details of resources and their assigned tasks using the Resource Portfolio view.
- Use the quick filters to build a condition and define a date range to view a specific set of resource allocations.
- View the resource requests for projects or tasks in the bottom screen area and access the request to allocate resources.
Activation information
The ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management is available with activation of the PPM Standard (com.snc.financial_planning_pmo) plugin. For more details, see Activate PPM Standard.
Install Scenario Planning for PPM by requesting it from the ServiceNow® Store. Visit the ServiceNow Store website to view all the available apps and for information about submitting requests to the store.
