Use admin functions in the Next Experience user menu to elevate roles, impersonate users, and configure a workspace.

Before you begin

Role required: admin

Procedure

  1. Navigate to User MenuUser menu..
  2. Select one of these user menu options for admins.
    Field Description
    Impersonate user Option to impersonate other authenticated users for testing purposes and to view impersonation logs. For more information, see Impersonate a user.
    Elevate role Option to elevate to a privileged role to gain access to the features of High Security Settings for the current session. For more information, see Elevated privilege roles.
    Note: Users granted the admin role can't elevate to a privileged role. Only the base system admin can be elevated.
    Configure Workspace Dynamic links to configuration pages to access configurations relevant to lists or forms more easily. These items display in the user menu when a workspace is in focus.
    • Configure workspace: Link to configure the workspace in UI Builder.
    • Configure page: Menu to configure page elements in the classic environment. The items display dynamically to show items that pertain to lists and items that pertain to forms.
