Use the analytics section type to display analytics previews that enable users to navigate to reports and Performance Analytics chart widgets. A maximum of six analytics previews can be displayed.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > System Mobile > Mobile App Builder.
    The Mobile App Builder opens in a new browser tab and displays the application scope selection screen.
  2. Search for the application scope you are working in and then select the name of the application scope.
    The Mobile App Builder categories home screen displays.
  3. Select All mobile records from the menu.
  4. From the Record type field, select Analytics section [sys_sg_chart_section], and then select New.
  5. On the form fill in the fields.

    Title Name for the analytics section.
    Active Whether the analytics section is displayed in the app.
    Type Type of analytics section.
    • Single Score sections display single score reports or the latest score Performance Analytics widgets.
    • Chart sections display a preview of a reporting chart.
    Orientation Orientation of the analytics section. You can select eitherHorizontal or Vertical. Orientation must be Vertical for the Chart section type.
    Note:

    • Use a vertical view when you want all scores to be visible on the screen without scrolling or your titles or values are long.

    • Use a horizontal view when you want to display several scores in a scrollable section.
    Analytics previews
    Determines the analytics preview to display in the section.
    Note: You can display up to six analytics previews.
  6. Select Save.

Result

An analytics preview is displayed in your launcher screen. Tap on the preview to navigate to a preconfigured chart screen. See Mobile platform dashboards for examples of the analytics previews you can utilize.
