Working with multiple ServiceNow instances on a single mobile device

Learn how to add, change, edit, and remove instances on your mobile device.
Before you begin
Role required: user
Note: Depending on the configuration by your administrator, you may only have access to a single instance and therefore not have permission to change to other instances.
Procedure

Access the instance by doing one of the following:
- Tap on the instance icon (
), which displays in the header area of the mobile app. The icon displays when you have added two or more instances to the Instances screen.
- Tap the Settings icon (
), and then on the Settings page tap Instances.
- Tap on the instance icon (

Choose whether to add, log in, log out, remove, or edit an instance.
Note: You can't rename or remove preconfigured instances. Preconfigured instances are defined by your administrator and are identified by the following icon (
).
Action Procedure Adding a new instance - Tap the top menu in the Instances page.
Tap Add instance.
- Enter the instance name or scan the QR code. For more details, see Add a ServiceNow instance to ServiceNow mobile apps.
- (Optional) Enter a nickname.
- Tap Save and log in, to add your selected instance.
- Enter your user name and password for this instance.
- Tap Log in to display the landing page of your instance.
Logging in to an instance For iOS, you can do one of the following: - In the Instances page, tap on the instance you want to log in to.
- In the Instances page, swipe to the left on the instance you want to log in to, and select Log in from the displayed menu.
For Android, you can do one of the following:- In the Instances page, tap on the instance you want to log in to.
- In the Instances page, tap on the more menu on the instance you want to log in to.
- From the bottom menu option, select Log in.
Logging out of an instance For iOS: - In the Instances page, swipe to the left on the instance you want to log out from.
- From the displayed menu options, tap Log out.
For Android:- In the Instances page, tap on the more menu on the instance you want to log out from.
- From the bottom menu option, select Log out.
Removing or renaming an instance For iOS: - In the Instances page, swipe to the left on the instance you want to rename or remove from the list.
- Tap Edit.
- From the menu option, tap either Rename or Remove from the list.
- Confirm the change that you want to make.
For Android:- In the Instances page, tap on the more menu on the instance you want to rename or remove from the list.
- From the bottom menu option, tap either Rename or Remove from list.
- Confirm the change that you want to make.
