You can subscribe to your On-Call calendar using your personal calendar client.
Before you begin
- Ensure that your calendar client uses and supports the iCalendar format.
- Ensure that your calendar client can subscribe to an external calendar.
- If calendar client meets the requirements, ask your shift manager to send your On-Call calendar subscription URL by email notification.
Important: You must provide your instance credentials to
authenticate yourself to use the subscription URL to view On-Call
events. Currently, only the Calendar application on Mac OS X 8.0 and
newer and the Outlook application on Windows 2013 and newer support
authenticated calendar subscriptions.
Role required: rota_admin, itil, rota_manager, or admin
Procedure
- On your calendar client, add a new external calendar subscription.
- Enter the On-Call calendar subscription URL that you received.
- Click Subscribe.
- Enter your login details for your instance.
- Specify additional details such as how frequently to update the calendar.
