Set text to fields on the Windows applications or the Internet Explorer browser by using the Set Text action in RPA Desktop Design Studio.

About this task

You can configure the properties for the Set Text component. For more information about these properties, see ActionSet Set Text properties.

Procedure

  1. Right-click the anchor.
    For more information about an anchor, see Anchor.
  2. Click Set Text.
  3. Drag the green plus icon (Green plus icon.) on the captured image and place where the component will perform an action.
  4. Close the ACTIONSET SETTINGS window.
  5. (Optional) To input data to the SetText port, see Configure port properties.
  6. (Optional) Connect the data and control ports of the Set Text component to the corresponding ports of other components as described in the following table.

    Data In SetText String Takes the text from another component. No. Connecting the port is optional. The Data In port is enabled by default. You can disable it in the PROPERTIES pane.
  7. (Optional) To test the component, right-click the component bar and then click Run From Here.
