Create a Response Task

Create response tasks to track separate actions to be performed to respond to the security issue.
Before you begin
Role required: sn_si.analyst
Procedure
- Navigate to Workspaces > Security Incident Response Workspace.

Click the Create Response Task from the UI
actions.

Fill in the fields on the form, as appropriate.
Table 1. Security incident Field Description Short description A description of the Security Incident Response task.
Description A description for the selected task. Number Unique number that is automatically generated for a security incident. Parent The number of the related security incident. Priority The priority used to determine when this task is performed. State The current state of the security response task. By default, the initial state is Draft. Assignment group The assignment group from which the assigned worker is selected. Assigned to The individual assigned to perform the task. Skills The skill required to perform this task. Search from the lookup and select the skill required. Affected Items The affected items by the security issue. Configuration Item The configuration item affected by the security issue. Affected User The person affected by the security issue. -
Click Save.
The new Response Task (SIT) gets created.
