Important information for upgrading Hardware Asset Management to Xanadu

After upgrading to Xanadu, you can view both the Core UI Performance Analytics dashboards and the Next Experience Platform Analytics dashboards for Hardware Asset Management.
Note: While migrating the Core UI Performance Analytics dashboards to the Next Experience Platform Analytics dashboards, auto-migration is disabled by default to avoid duplicate dashboards.

New in the Xanadu release

Offer assets and asset management services through Device as a Service feature
Provide assets and asset management services to the customers of DaaS providers via a subscription model.
Manage the hardware asset requests by using the Zero Touch request flow
Fulfill the hardware asset requests directly through an external vendor by using the Zero Touch request flow. When an employee submits a request for a hardware catalog item associated with the Zero Touch request flow, the request is sent to the external vendor who ships the asset directly to the employee.
Manage repair of defective assets in the stockroom by using the Repair flow
Request repair of assets that are defective or pending repair by using the Repair flow, which includes troubleshooting, repair, and evaluation tasks. Repair orders are processed either in the Hardware Asset Workspace or the ServiceNow Mobile Agent application.
Manage inventory picking within a stockroom
Pick assets in your stockroom easily for sourcing, hardware asset requests, and hardware asset refresh workflows by enabling the Pick task for your stockroom. The task lists the assets that you should pick from the stockroom, with aisle and space details providing the exact location from which the asset should be picked. Indoor mapping capabilities enable you to get directions to the location of the asset in the stockroom on your ServiceNow Mobile Agent application.
