    Emergency Response Operations

The ServiceNow® Emergency Response Operations application was initially created by the Washington State Department of Health and enhanced by ServiceNow engineering. The application helps state and local government agencies plan, coordinate, and activate their resources in critical locations during emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic or other events.

State and local incident command centers are responsible for requesting, managing, and tracking resources in the event of an emergency. This effort requires the coordination of divisional and field resources across locations and incidents. Emergency Response Operations enables administrators in both the central command center and field offices to coordinate how to assign, schedule, and activate resources down to the employee, activity, and day.

Use with other Emergency Response Management applications

Emergency Response Operations is part of a suite of ServiceNow® Emergency Response Management applications built on the Now Platform® to assist companies in their emergency response efforts. Employees can report their health status through the Emergency Self Report application, which managers can also use to track health status reporting and reassign user tasks. Employees can also respond with their status to email and mobile push notifications sent through the Emergency Outreach application. Use the Emergency Exposure Management application to track possible exposure of employees to an infected employee. These applications are available in the ServiceNow Store.

Emergency Response Management for federal customers

Federal customers using IL4 or FedRAMP environments will see the Emergency Response Management applications ready and available to install on their instances without having to make any special requests. Customers are responsible for configuring the apps to meet U.S. federal regulations and guidelines.
Note: Now® Mobile capabilities are not currently supported in FedRamp Mod/IL2 and FedRamp/IL4 (GCC) environments. Customers running Emergency Response Management applications in those environments will need to configure email push notifications instead of Now Mobile push notifications and leverage web interfaces, instead of having the option to use either Now Mobile or web interfaces.
