    Assign and manage regulatory feeds

    Different types of feeds are displayed under the Regulatory Feeds module in the Regulatory Change Management application. Use the information in this section to assign the regulatory feeds to appropriate RCM Users in the system.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_grc_reg_change.manager, sn_grc_reg_change.user

    About this task

    The RCM Manager views and assign the regulatory feeds to an RCM User. The RCM User performs actions on the regulatory feeds.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Application > Regulatory Change Management > Regulatory Feeds.
      Displays all the regulatory feeds in your instance.
    2. Navigate to Application > Regulatory Change Management > Regulatory Feeds > Unassigned Feeds.
      The RCM Manager views the unassigned feeds and assigns them to specific RCM Users. An incoming feed is automatically assigned to a New state.
    3. Click a regulatory event type of feed to view the details and assign the feed.
      Displays a regulatory event type of feed record. See the table for the states and description of the fields.

      Fields Description
      New State of an incoming feed when it is assigned to a coordinator
      Impact Assessment State of the feed when an impact assessment is performed on the feed
      In Progress State of the feed indicating the work progress on the feed
      Deferred State of the feed when it is deferred to a later time
      Cancelled State of the feed when it is cancelled
      Closed State of the feed when all the tasks associated with the feed are completed
      Fields in the Regulatory Feed record
      Title Title of the feed as received from the provider. Read-only field
      Description Description and a brief summary of the event. Read-only field
      Provider URL URL of the feed received from the provider
      Regulatory body URL URL of the regulatory body associated with the feed
      Provider Name of the feed provider. Read-only field
      Coordinator An RCM User that the feed is assigned to
      State State of the feed
      Type Type of the regulatory feed. Read-only field
      Overall impact Select the overall impact of the feed from the list:
      • No impact
      • Low
      • Medium
      • High
      • Critical
      Taxonomy (Read-only fields)
      Regulatory body Organization that exercises a regulatory function, for example, Government Agency, Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO), and Trade Associations
      Sector Different business segments for your organizations, for example, banking and insurance, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals
      Theme Broad topics that you can use to classify your regulatory content, for example, Privacy, Operational Resilience, and Regulatory Filings
      Jurisdiction Geography where a regulatory or legal body can extend their legal authority, for example, Asia, Europe, and State county
      Content type Different categories of content that a regulatory body can issue, for example, Legislative Materials, Regulations, and Rules
      Dates (Read-only fields)
      Source publication date Date when the particular regulatory event is actually published by the regulatory body
      Effective date Date when the particular regulatory event will be applicable from
      Expiration date Date when the particular regulatory event will expire
      Comments date Date until when the comments can be provided for the regulatory event
      Compliance date Date by which the regulatory event will be compliant
      Activity Journal
      Additional comments Additional comments related to the feed
      Activities Log of the activities related to the feed
      Actions associated with each state
      Update Click Update to update the details of the feed in the instance
      Defer Click Defer to defer the feed to a later time. Field displayed for a new feed only
      Applicable Click Applicable to mark the feed as applicable. Field displayed for a new feed only. Once the feed is marked as Applicable, it cannot be moved to any other state and other states options are not available
      Initiate Impact Assessment Click Initiate Impact Assessment to initiate an impact assessment on the regulatory event type of feed. This field is applicable to the regulatory event types of feeds only
      Not Applicable Click Not Applicable to mark the feed as not applicable to the organization
      Cancel Click Cancel to cancel the feed
      Delete Click Delete to delete the feed
      Reassign Click Reassign to reassign the feed to another RCM User or RCM Manager (Field displayed for a new feed only)

      Regulatory Tasks Displayed only when a feed is assigned to a Coordinator and it is in In Progress state
      Related Documents Details of the documents related to the feed, for example, citation, title, type
      Impact Assessments Impact assessment details associated with the regulatory event type of feed
    4. Assign a source document type of regulatory feed.
      Note: See the table for fields and description for the source document type of feed.

      Citation Citation number for the source document received from the feed provider (Read-only field)
      Provider URL Provider URL for the feed
      Regulatory body URL URL of the associated regulatory body
      Provider Name of the feed provider (Read-only field)
      Coordinator RCM Manager or RCM User to whom the feed will be assigned
      State States of the feed. Updated automatically based on the status of the related actions
      Type Type of the regulatory feed, for example, source document
      Taxonomy (Read-only fields)
      Regulatory body Associated regulatory body for the feed
      Sector Sector associated to the feed
      Theme Theme associated to the feed
      Jurisdiction Jurisdiction associated to the feed
      Content type Content type for the feed
      Dates (Read-only fields)
      Source publication date Publication date when this particular event is actually published by the regulatory body
      Effective date Effective date when this particular event will be applicable from
      Comments date Date until the comments can be provided for the event
      Compliance date Date by which the event will be applicable
      Activity Journal
      Additional comments Additional comments related to the feed

      Clickable Actions for the State (to be performed by RCM Manager)
      Update Click Update to update the details of the feed in the instance
      Delete Click Delete to delete the feed
