Installing FCA requires you to have the following ServiceNow plugins activated on your instance:
    • Fiscal Calendar (com.snc.fiscal_calendar)
    • Finance Applications–Common Dependencies (com.snc.fin_dep)
    • Scoped Application Restricted Caller Access (com.glide.scope.access.restricted_caller)
    • Insert Multiple Web Service (com.glide.web_service_insert_multiple)
    • Policy and Compliance Management (com.sn_compliance). Required if you want to install Finance Close Automation – GRC Policy and Compliance Integration application.

    Role required: admin

    About this task

Install the following applications before you install FCA application:
    • Finance Common

The application maintains master data such as ERP Sources, Legal Entities, and Accounting Periods.

    • Finance – ERP Integration

The application enables integration of the FCA application with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

    • Finance Workspace

The application provides multi-tab interface to manage tasks. Installing Finance Workspace also installs the Finance Workspace Components application if it is not already installed. The Finance Workspace Components application includes components used in Finance Workspace that are developed using the Now® Experience UI Framework.

Note: To integrate FCA with the GRC Policy and Compliance application, you can install the Finance Close Automation – GRC Policy and Compliance Integration application available on ServiceNow Store.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to System Applications > All Available Applications > All.
    2. Find the application using the filter criteria and search bar.

You can search for the application by its name or ID. If you cannot find an application, you may have to request it from the ServiceNow Store.

Visit the ServiceNow Store website to view all the available apps and for information about submitting requests to the store.

    3. Click Install.
    4. In the Application installation dialog box, review the application dependencies.

Dependent plugins and applications are listed if they will be installed, are currently installed, or need to be installed. If there are any plugins or applications that need to be installed, you must install them before you can install the ServiceNow Store application.

Installing your application also automatically installs the dependent applications or plugins if they are not installed already.

    5. (Optional) If demo data is available and you want to install it, click Load demo data.

Demo data comprises sample records that describe application features for common use cases. Load demo data when you first install the application on a development or test instance.

Important: If you don't load the demo data during installation, it's unavailable to load later.
    6. Click Install.
