The Finance Workspace provides a single location for finance users to work on all
aspects of the finance close process for an accounting period. It provides real-time insight into
the planned versus actual close progress at the user level, department level, or overall finance
organization level. Being able to spot bottlenecks and overdue activities in the workspace enables
you to take corrective actions.

Note: The widgets on the landing page and data displayed in the Finance Workspace depend on your
role.
- On the landing page, get a quick overview of all your assignments and pending tasks.
- In the global search field at the top, search across all close
tasks, journal entries, and follow-up tasks. The global search returns all records in which the
search term appears anywhere in the record, such as the short description, content, or attached
files.
- In the lists pane, access tasks quickly using the filtered lists under different
categories.
- On the form, review and work on your tasks and journal entries from various tabs.
- In the Dependencies Overview section on the ribbon of a close
task form, create a dependency by adding a predecessor or successor task. You can also create
dependencies from the Predecessor Tasks or Successor Tasks tabs.
- In the Close Assist section of a form, refer to the prior period records of the same record
you are working on.
- In the Notifications tray, view notifications for the rejected journal entries or any
failures during the processing of journal entries park or post.
- In the Finance Close Dashboard, monitor multiple metrics and track the
health and progress of your finance close.
- In the Finance Calendar, track tasks on associated organizational calendars.
