The ServiceNow® ITOM Optimization application automates the cloud workflows that you use to manage the cloud resources throughout their life cycles. You can also deploy certified and enterprise-compliant clouds, get visibility into your costs, and manage other cloud management processes. Cloud Provisioning and Governance was enhanced and updated in the Xanadu release.

ITOM Optimization highlights for the Xanadu release

  • Use the Cloud Services Catalog with ITOM Cloud Accelerate for the enhanced capabilities of Cloud Provisioning and Governance (CPG). These capabilities include the Out Of Box catalog items and the simplified and automated provisioning of cloud resources.
  • Move your exchangeable ITOM Optimization licenses as you transition from Cloud Provisioning and Governance to ITOM Cloud Accelerate.

Explore the Next Experience dashboard pages that are now available on Cloud Admin Portal.
The Cloud Admin Portal link to the user portal now points to Employee Center if you have installed and set up the Cloud Services Catalog application.

You can now use the link to the dashboard pages on the Cloud Admin Portal. You can access these Next Experience dashboard pages on a new tab based on your user role:
  • Cloud root cause analysis dashboard
  • Cloud operations dashboard
  • Cloud tag values dashboard

Deprecations

Deprecation of Cloud API (CAPI)- based Cloud Discovery on new instances:
  • CAPI-based Discovery is deprecated for new instances with Xanadu.
  • Contact your administrator to install the latest version of the Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns ServiceNow® Store application to use the Discovery feature.
  • For an existing instance, manually migrate to Patterns-based Discovery.
  • The Discover Schedules tab in the Cloud Admin Portal is going to redirect to Cloud Discovery Workspace.
