Create an Action Condition

An Action Condition is a script that is run when trigger conditions are met, but before the Flow actions begin. If the Action Condition script returns true, the Flow actions are executed. If the Action Condition script returns false, the Flow actions are not executed.

Before you begin

Role required: admin

About this task

Use the Action Condition to check for duplicate triggers. You can determine if the record that the flow action is going to update has already been updated, and return false to prevent the flow action from being executed.

In the Flow Designer, use the Additional Filtering field to assign the Action Condition to a flow.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to MetricBase > MetricBase Triggers > Trigger Moderators, and click New.
The Additional MetricBase Trigger Filtering and Moderation form is shown.
  2. Fill in the fields as needed.

    Field Description
Name Name for the Action Condition.
Application Application for which the Action Condition us defined.

    Script Specify the script.

The trigger definition record, the record containing the metric that created the trigger, the date and time the trigger occurred, and the band level for the trigger are input parameters to the script.

If the script returns true, the Flow action is executed.

  3. Click Submit.
