    PRB1293528

    KB0692491

Checklist templates restricted to specific groups are not available to non-admin group members According to the Create a checklist, the checklist template should be available to only members of the selected group and the user who created the checklist. However, checklists are no longer available for group members.

Refer to the listed KB article for details.

    MID Server

    PRB1306950

    KB0714149

MID Server installation ZIP files can be corrupted when downloading via the instance

In a new London instance, or an upgraded instance that has had mid.download.through.instance =true set, MID Server Install and Upgrade ZIP files are downloaded via the instance.

The instance will download the file from the install server, and save it as an attachment of the ecc_agent_package table. The attachment is then downloaded from the instance by the user's browser or the MID Server's AutoUpgrade code. Sometimes, that attachment can be corrupted.

Refer to the listed KB article for details.

    Financial Management

    PRB1276976

    KB0693352

    1. Activate the Project Portfolio with Financials plugin.
    2. Navigate to a Demand record.
    3. Click the Demand Budget UI Action on the Demand form.
    4. Fill in the requested information on the budget pop-up dialog and submit it.

Actual behavior: After submitting the budget pop-up info, the screen is blanked and the demand budget is not updated.

    Workflow

    PRB1296149

'current' can be replaced during the workflow processing, and this can affect the processing of all subsequent business rules under certain circumstances

During the business rule processing, if a script updates a record in a different table and the updated record has multiple active workflows, the first workflow updated results in one of the other active workflows being completed or canceled.

When the workflow context that was completed or canceled is then processed, 'current' will be set to the record for that workflow. However, it will not be restored to the original record when the workflow processing completes.

    Lists

    PRB1242304

    KB0692584

On touchscreen laptops, double scrollbar appear on the form In Windows 10 touchscreen laptops on Chrome, a double vertical scrollbar appears on forms.
    1. On a Windows 10 touchscreen laptop, use the Chrome browser to navigate to any list, for example, navigate to Incident > All .
    2. Open any record.

Note that the screen shows double vertical scrollbars.

    Workflow

    PRB897733

    KB0676161

Workflow Canvas performance is seriously degraded and slow when a large number of transitions are on the canvas

A large number of transitions in a workflow may cause performance issues when editing in the workflow editor.

    1. Open the workflow editor and create a new workflow.

For more information, see the product documentation topic Workflow editor.

    2. Add workflow activities and create about 30 activities attached via various transitions.
    3. Check in and check out.

Note the slow load times and the slowness of drawing transition lines.

    Agile Development

    PRB1308640

Reference qualifier for Epics in the Story form does not work when upgrading from Jakarta to London The reference field does not return any records.

    Application Installation Engine

    PRB1298550

PluginManger.isActive() is not backwards compatible for plugins converted to OOB apps

When an application is installed as part of a plugin, the dependencies and conditional content folders are based on the plugin-id. When an application is installed from the store, the dependencies and conditional content folders are based on the apps' scope_name.

The PluginManager does not register both the plugin-id and the scope name when an app is installed as part of a plugin. This means that OOB apps have no way to be multi-release compatible unless all the apps and dependencies are converted to OOB apps in a single release. This also means that any third party apps that dependent on the plugin-id will not recognize when the plugin is converted to an application.

    Assessments

    PRB1298237

An assessment warning error is displayed in the log 'org.mozilla.javascript.EcmaError: 'primary' is not defined'
    1. Activate the Security Incident plugin.

    Cloud Management Application

    PRB1251716

A VMware VM provision creates an empty resource in the stack, even though the VM provision failed in CAPI
    1. Log in to the application.
    2. Navigate to User Portal module.
    3. Launch the catalog using an OS profile.

At the Cloud API level, the provision fails since there are no VMware tools in VM, but the provision creates an empty virtual server resource in the stack. Resources with invalid state should not be added to the stack details.

    Cloud Management Application

    PRB1302947

    • Parameters are not resolved for the post provisioning step. For example, ${parameter.StackName} shows up as blank.
    • Parameters are not synched in the OS profile association for the cloud script.

    Cloud Management Application

    PRB1303312

Excessive memory usage and events backup as workers are busy When Cloud Discovery is done, "Reconcile CI", an async business rule, is triggered to mark CIs stale. This uses a full table scan rather than querying only relevant data.

    Dashboards and Home Pages

    PRB1303845

Dashboard order is not evaluated in London The order field does not take affect in London when displaying the PA dashboards in the dashboard picker. However, the dashboard sequence can be controlled by order value in the previous releases.
    1. Go to the PA dashboard.

Notice 'Incident daily - 7d - 28d' is the first dashboard displayed in the 'Incident' group.

    2. Go to the dashboard record 'Incident daily - 7d - 28d', and modify the 'Order' field to 300, which is the largest value among all the dashboards in 'Incident' group.
    3. Go back to the PA dashboard.

Notice the dashboard sequence in the dropdown list does not change, and 'Incident daily - 7d - 28d' is still the first one in the 'Incident' group. Refer to the documentation for more info.

    Dashboards and Home Pages

    PRB1306941

The user does not have the option to create a dashboard or see other dashboards if the last visited dashboard is not shared with the user anymore If a user doesn't have the access to a dashboard, the user can't access the full dashboards list through the custom UI.

    Dashboards and Home Pages

    PRB1309482

Dashboards and homepages do not refresh reports automatically when the interactive filter value is changed When a report and interactive filter exist in a scoped application and glide.cms.enable.responsive_grid_layout is set to false, the interactive filter only refreshes the report in the edit mode. However, the interactive filter does not work when viewing the dashboard.

    Debugger

    PRB1313147

The identification section doesn't show up in the discovery log When opening the discovery log, users only see the pre and post processing lines, and not the identification part. It runs and ends successfully, but doesn't show up.

    Discovery

    PRB1298290

    Discovery

    PRB1302338

The master switch in HSRP with multiple VIPs is discovered repeatedly If the user uses a wide range of IPs in its schedules, they may include HSRP VIPs. This may lead to discovering a device (the active switch in the HSRP configuration) multiple times using different IPs, causing attribute flipping on the CI.

    Discovery

    PRB1303578

On Windows, patterns do not create choice list entries for Engine Edition In previous releases when using probes, Engine Edition choice list values were created by SQL Server Sensor. After moving to pattern-based discovery, Engine Edition choice list values are not created.

Using a Discovery SQL Server on Windows, check sys_choice for cmdb_ci_db_mssql_instance. engine_edition. Verify that the discovered values are not getting created.

Shazzam fails HTTPS scan when the target server allows only TLS 1.2 If the target server is configured to accept only TLS 1.2, Shazzam fails with an I/O error when scanning an HTTPS port on that server.
    1. Configure a Windows server to accept only TLS 1.2.
    2. Configure the server for WinRM3.
    3. Enable and configure firewall on the server to only allow incoming requests to WinRM HTTPS.
    4. Configure MID Configuration parameters to discover the server via WinRM/HTTPS.
    5. Add credential for the server.
    6. Run Discovery for the server.

Shazzam fails with an I/O error: 'Problem while reading HTTP response: : IOException - An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.'

    Discovery

    PRB1304580

Discovery external credentials: performance and credential affinity issues When Discovery queries an external credentials provider API (ex: CyberArk) to fetch credentials, there are three performance problems resulting in many unnecessary hits to the vault:
    1. The MID Server queries the API for all credentials of same type in the credential list, rather than using the credential affinity to first fetch and try just the one credential.
    2. The MID Server queries the API for all credentials of the same type in the credential list, rather than stopping when it finds a credential which succeeds against the discovery target.
    3. CyberArk only: If there are N Discovery credentials where Credential ID key was not found via the API, MID Server will query the API N times using the same IP address rather than just once, and can assign affinity to credential where Credential ID does not exist in the vault.

Refer to CyberArk integration configuration for more information.

    Discovery

    PRB1310512

SNMP walk commands are not built correctly when generating them for querying a table using a filter that matches more than 1 row When configuring an SNMP query using probes, there is an option to use a filter to reduce the input's size. First, all records that match the filter are fetched. For each index\row found, all requested fields are fetched by building an SNMP walk commands. However, when the filter applies to more than 1 row, instead of appending the current index to the current field, indexes are accumulated.

    Discovery

    PRB1310725

    PRB1288426

MID Server auto-upgrade repeatedly fails if an incomplete ZIP file was downloaded, as the bad ZIP is not checked before continuing the upgrade, or redownloaded

MID Server auto-upgrade will repeatedly fail if an incomplete ZIP file was downloaded. This can happen when a proxy server is between the MID Server and install server, or there is a timeout, and the download ends without any error.

The incomplete ZIP is not checked before continuing, causing ZLIB errors during the extraction of the ZIP file 'AutoUpgrade.3600 SEVERE *** ERROR *** Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream java.io.EOFException: Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream.'

Those extraction errors do not stop the upgrade continuing, and the temporary upgrade service will be launched without all the files present in the temporary folders. The MID Server gets shut down and probably will not come back up, or come back up in a corrupt state. Unless the bad ZIP file is manually deleted, it is skipped on the next upgrade attempt and is not re-downloaded, leading to the same issue again.

Twilio/Notify time delays of 5 seconds when using the activity 'Say' Issues occur when users use the Notify plugin to start conference calls and put the "Say" activity on the first position in their workflow. When the user answers the call, it takes 4 - 6 seconds until the text from the "Say" activity is read out.
    1. Connect a twilio account to your instance.
    2. Place a 'Say' activity on the first position of the workflow.
    3. Start a conference call.
    4. Pick up the call and wait until the text from the 'Say' activity is read out.

Overlapping time-off creation should be allowed across groups When scheduling time off for a user on one rota, users cannot schedule the same time off for the same user on another rota. An error message is shown: "Timeoff request for the user overlaps existing request."
    1. Install the On-call Scheduling plugin.
    2. Create a schedule with a user (Beth Anglin) for a specific group.
    3. Create another schedule for a different group that the first user is a part of. If they are not part of that group, add them.
    4. On one of the rotas, schedule time off.
    5. On the other rota, schedule the same time off for the same user.

Excessive ACL evaluations occur when building PA 'dashboard picker' in instances with a large number of dashboards

In instances with a large number of dashboards (records in the pa_dashboard table), building the 'dashboard picker' (the drop-down list of dashboards displayed at the top of the dashboard) can take an excessive amount of time. This is because the number of ACL evaluations is equal to the number of available dashboards in the instance. The more dashboards the user has, the more evaluations occur. Above a certain threshold, the performance impact becomes noticeable.

To activate this fix, glide.cms.dashboards.picker.show _recents needs to be added and set to True.

On Service Portal, date validations do not work properly when the date format is set to dd-MMM-yy in Japanese On instances switched to Japanese, date validation scripts do not work properly in Service Portal when the date format is set as dd-MMM-yy. The value returned from the g_form.getValue() method on a client side script fetches the Japanese translated value, causing the logic for the date validation to mishandle this output.

    On any OOB Kingston instance:

    1. Change the date format to dd-MMM-yy under Bascis Configuration UI16.
    2. Open any catalog item.
    3. Create a variable (such as test_date) with type Date.
    4. Create an on change client script on that item to show up the value entered in the date field using g_form.getValue('<variable name>') with an alert to show the value that is being fetched.
    5. Open the catalog item under Service Portal in a new tab and change the language to Japanese.
    6. Refresh the Service Portal tab so that you can have the catalog item in Japanese.
    7. Put a date value in the date field.

Observe the value fetched through the client script g_form.getValue method. The Japanese translated value is returned, so for a date 09 Oct 2018 it fetches 09-10月-18. This causes erroneous date validations comparing a current date to a previous or future date.

      MID Server

      PRB1306950

      PRB1276976

      Workflow

      Lists

      PRB1242304

      Workflow

      PRB897733

In the Major Incident Workbench > Communications tab > Work notes & Activity, there's a button to "Open mini chat for..." in front of each entry.

In instances with a large number of dashboards (records in the pa_dashboard table), building the 'dashboard picker' (the drop-down list of dashboards displayed at the top of the dashboard) can take an excessive amount of time. Above a certain threshold, the performance impact becomes noticeable.
