Approve or reject PTO request and create coverage

As a rota manager, you can review and approve time-off requests from your rota members.

Before you begin

Role required: rota_manager

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Self-Service > My Approvals.
  2. Select the time-off request record that you want to approve.
    The time-off request displays the details of the time-off requested by the member of your team. For example, in the screenshot, the dark blue shade with stripes represents the requested time-off. A message also gives you the request details including that of the proposed cover.

  3. Enter your comments in the Comments section based on if you want to approve or reject the request.
  4. Select Approve or Reject to approve or reject the requested time-off respectively.

    In case of approval, the time-off details are reflected in the on-call calendar and the requester gets an email notification informing him of the same.

    In case of rejection, the time-off details are no longer displayed on the calendar and the requester gets an email notification informing him of the same.
