Enable new Service Catalog widgets in Service Portal

Enable new Service Catalog widgets in Service Portal

For upgrade customers, enable the new Service Catalog widgets in Service Portal to access the latest features. By default, the deprecated widgets are enabled.

Before you begin

Role required: admin and sp_admin.

Procedure

  1. Activate the plugins (if applicable) in the following order.
    1. Service Portal for Enterprise Service Management (com.glide.service-portal.esm)
    2. Service Portal - Service Catalog (com.glide.service-portal.service-catalog)
    3. Service Portal - Service Catalog v2 (com.glideapp.servicecatalog.portal)
  2. Enable the SC Catalog Item widget.
    1. Navigate to a catalog item.
    2. Press the Ctrl key, click on the widget, and select Instance in Page Editor.
    3. From the Widget choice list, select SC Catalog Item.
  3. Enable the SC Order Guide widget.
    1. Navigate to an order guide.
    2. Press the Ctrl key, click on the widget, and select Instance in Page Editor.
    3. From the Widget choice list, select SC Order Guide.
  4. Enable the SC Shopping Cart widget.
    1. Access the shopping cart.
    2. Press the Ctrl key, click on the widget, and select Instance in Page Editor.
    3. From the Widget choice list, select SC Shopping Cart.
    4. In the Additional options, JSON format field, specify the following code:
      	"cartTemplate": " large_shopping_cart_v2.html"
      
    5. Navigate to Catalog Administration > Properties and enable the Use Cart V2 widget in Header Menu widget (glide.sc.portal.use_cart_v2_header) property.
      The SC Shopping Cart widget is displayed in the header menu.
