New in the Kingston release

Encrypted workflow scratchpad
The NOW Platform supports encryption on most fields. Workflows can execute on tables with encrypted fields, and access the data as part of the Platform Encryption Initiative. However, data in the workflow scratchpad is not encrypted by default. The workflow engine supports scratchpad encryption through the activation of the plugin only. Once activated, data in the wf_context and wf_executing scratchpads are protected by a private workflow engine encryption context.

The Encrypted Workflow Scratchpad plugin (com.snc.encrypted.scratchpad) must be activated via a customer support request. Prior to its activation, first activate the Workflow Pause Utility (com.glideapp.workflow.pause), and then pause all active workflows. After activating the Encrypted Workflow Scratchpad plugin, resume all paused workflows.

Workflow pause utility
Pause and resume active workflows as needed. This feature is available for all workflows, a subset of workflows, or for individual workflow contexts. For example, if you have an integration workflow that uses an internal service that is down for maintenance, pause all instances of that workflow from progressing to the next activity, allowing time for the internal service to be restored. Then, resume the paused workflows.
