Service Portfolio Management release notes

ServiceNow® Service Portfolio Management product enhancements and updates in the Kingston release.

Activation information

You can activate the Service Portfolio Management plugin (com.snc.service_portfolio) if you have the admin role. No special subscription is required.

New in the Kingston release

Service State Model
  • Added the new Portfolio Status field with the Pipeline, Catalog, and Retired values.
  • Added the new Service Status field. The values in this field depend on the value that you select for the Portfolio Status field.
Note: These fields are available only for new users and when the Business Services form is in the Service Portfolio view.

Changed in this release

New names for Business Services:
  • The Business Services application is now called the Service Portfolio application.
  • Business Service Catalog is now called Service Portfolio.
  • The Business Services module is now called the Services module.

Removed in this release

Fields removed:
  • Removed the Operational Status field from the Business Services form in the Service Portfolio view.
  • Removed the Pipeline or Catalog values if they existed for the Operational Status field.
  • Removed the Used For field from the Business Services form in the Service Portfolio view.
