Import and deploy cloud solution packs

You can import an existing cloud solution pack and then deploy the pack on your system.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_cmp.cloud_solution_designer.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Cloud Management > Cloud Admin Portal > Manage > Cloud Solution Deployer.
  2. Click Import.
  3. Click Choose File to select the solution pack zip file from your system.
    The solution pack is imported and contains all the entities. You cannot add entities to an imported pack.
  4. Click Deploy to create all the entities, in the solution pack, on your system. For example, if your pack contains two entities, a resource block and a blueprint, both the entities are created on your system.
    The Deploy Summary dialog box appears. If the same entity type exists on your system, the entity appears in the Existing Entity section. If the same entity type does not reside on your system, the entity appears in the New Entity section.
  5. Select the appropriate action. If the entity appears in the Existing Entity section, click Override to override the existing entity type with the new entity type or click Skip to skip the new entity type and continue to use the existing entity type. If the entity appears in the New Entity section, click Deploy to create all the entities on your system.
    The solution pack is imported and deployed on your system. You can deploy a solution pack multiple times. Each time you deploy a pack, information on that particular deployment is displayed.
