Create a data source field map Field maps create a reference between the data source columns and transaction columns. Define a relationship between data source and transaction fields to allow flexible data cleansing and bucket split. Also allows for generating budget keys and actuals in budget planning. Procedure Navigate to Data Sources > Setup from Financial Modeling or Financial Planning. Open a data source record. Click New in the Financial Data Source Field Maps related list to create a field map. Fill out the fields on the form (see table). Click Submit. Field descriptions to create a data source field map. Table 1. Financial Data Source Field Map form Field Description Data source Auto populates the data source for which the field map is created. Datasource field Select a column on the data source table for field mapping. Cleansed Column Cleansed Column defines the mapping between the Data source table column and the Cleansed table column.If the field is None, data from the Data source table column is not copied during cleansing. For the existing General Ledger Staged data source mappings are preconfigured. Segment name Choose the segment to map it to transaction table. Mapped to transaction field Select a column on the transaction table for field mapping. Used by Budgeting Select the check box to make this field map reference available for financial planning for generating actuals and budget keys. Used by cleansing Select the check box to make this field map reference available for cleansing in financial modeling. Used for Bucket split Select the check box to make this field map reference available for cost bucket split when using the Allocation Setup tab of the financial modeling workbench.
