Create case to request background check by First Advantage

You can create a case to request a background check for an employee through the First Advantage service.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_hr_core.case_writer


  1. Navigate to HR Case Management > Create New Case.
  2. In the Search for Employee field, select the employee you are creating the case for.
  3. In the Case Details section, enter the following field values.
    Field Value
    COE HR Talent Management Case
    HR service Request Background Check by First Advantage
  4. Click Create Case.
  5. In the Background check package field, select the background check package you want to use for the case.
  6. Click Ready for Work to send the background check request to the First Advantage service.

What to do next

  • As the background check application progresses, the status will be reflected in the Background check application status field.
  • To view the background check details, navigate to the Background Check Details related list. You can view the ID, status, and result of the background check and drug screening (if applicable).
