Import HR knowledge articles

As a knowledge contributor, you can import existing articles as Microsoft Word files into an HR knowledge base. Once imported, the articles are saved as drafts in the knowledge workflow and must be published so that employees with access to the knowledge base can find and read them.

Before you begin

Role required: none. User must have contributor access to the knowledge base.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to HR Administration > Knowledge Management > HR Knowledge Base.
  2. Click Import Articles.
    Click Import Articles to import articles into the HR knowledge base.
  3. In the Import form, drop or select one or more Microsoft Word files, and then select the knowledge base and category to import the articles to.

  4. Click Import.

What to do next

Once the articles are imported, they are saved as drafts in the knowledge workflow. The imported articles must be published so that employees with access to the knowledge base can find and read them.
