Configure Connect Chat to show or hide on the mobile app homepage.

About this task

Connect Chat appears on the mobile app homepage by default if it is active on the instance and the user has the correct roles. As an administrator, you can hide Connect Chat by only allowing certain roles to have access. Use these steps to hide Connect Chat from users without a particular role.

Connect Chat has only been optimized for the native mobile app, not the mobile web.


  1. Navigate to Collaborate > Administration > Properties.
  2. In the Comma separated whitelist of roles able access to Connect. Empty allows all roles., type a list of the roles you want to enable Connect Chat for.
