Add an employee to the rota

You can add a new employee as member to the rota.

About this task

Role required: admin, rota_admin, rota_manager

Procedure

  1. Navigate to On-Call Scheduling > My Group Schedules.
    The appropriate list of rotas appears.
  2. Click on the rota to which to add the new member.
    The details of the selected rota appear.
  3. Click on the roster from the list of rosters within the rota.
    The details of the selected roster appear.
  4. Click New in the Members section of the roster.
  5. Fill in the fields on the form, as appropriate.

    Field Description
    Roster This field is a non-editable and contains the roster name.
    Member Select the name of the member to add to the roster.
    Rotation Schedule This field takes its value once the member record is submitted.
    Order Enter an order number for the new member. This order number determines where this member starts on the rotation cycle.
    From Select the date from which the addition of the new member is valid on the rota.
    Note: The user will be active on the rota from the next rotation.
    To Select the date until when the addition of the new member is valid on the rota.
    Note: If the To date falls in the middle of a rotation, then the user finishes that rotation.
  6. Click Submit to add and save the details of the new member.
    The details of the newly added employee appear on the rota members list within the roster.
