Set capacity limits on cloud resources

After you create a cloud account, you can set limits on the resources that belong to each logical datacenter (LDC) in the cloud account.

Before you begin

  • Role required: sn_cmp.cloud_admin
  • A cloud account with service accounts and associated LDCs

About this task

Note: You can also set per-user and total capacity limitations on resources based by using quotas. See Quota governance for Cloud Management.


  1. Navigate to Cloud Management > Cloud Infrastructure > Cloud Accounts.
  2. Click an cloud account to open it.
  3. From the left pane, select a datacenter.
  4. On the right-pane, select the Capacity Limits tab.
    The attributes appear along with the current values for each.

  5. Set the capacity limits for virtual machines, virtual CPUs, virtual networks, and storage volume size. These are supported by default.
  6. Click Update.
