Configure blueprint catalog properties

Configure properties that display fields on the catalog form. Users fill in or select values for these fields when they provision a cloud resource.

Before you begin

  • Role required: sn_cmp.cloud_service_designer
  • A blueprint with a form.

Procedure

  1. Open a blueprint, click Operations > Form, and open an existing form record.
  2. In the Catalog Properties related list, click New and then fill in the form.
    Field Description
    Name Enter a name for the attribute. As a good practice, do not leave spaces. You can refer to this attribute in scripts.
    Display Name Enter the name that the user sees on the catalog item form.
    DataSource

    Datasource Value

    Enter the source for this attribute:
    • Pools: a resource pool. Reference the pool in the Datasource Value field by with the following syntax: ServiceNow::Pools::poolname.poolfilter. For example, to access a cloud account attribute from a pool named Cloud AccountPool that has an All filter, enter the following text: ServiceNow::Pools::CloudAccountPool.All. . The user selects a cloud account from a list of all accounts.
    • Text: plaintext entry. The user enters the value to use for this attribute.
    • CSV List: list from a comma-separated value file.
    Default Value Provide an option default value.
    Mandatory Select this check box to make the user enter or select a value for this attribute before they can submit the catalog form.
    Visibility Select this check box to make the attribute visible on the form.
    Form UI Group

    (personalize the form to display this field)

    Select the UI group that you want this attribute to belong to.
  3. Right-click the form header and select Save.
