Configure content types for Communities

Configure content types, such as videos and blogs, for the community.

Role required: sn_communities.admin

About this task

You can configure content types at community and forum level. At community level, content types are active by default. Based on your requirements, you can de-activate content types.

Procedure

  1. To configure content types at community level, navigate to Community > Administration > Content Types.
  2. Click a content type.
  3. Deselect the Active field.
  4. Click Update.
    The content type is no longer visible to the community.
  5. To configure content types at forum level, navigate to Community > Administration > Forums.
  6. Click a forum.
  7. Click the Content Types related list.
  8. Double-click a row in the Active column.
  9. Set the content type to Active True or False.
    The content type is no longer visible to the forum.
