Application Portfolio Management portal

The Application Portfolio Management portal gives you an enterprise-wide applications landscape view of the number of applications and other key metrics. You can create goals to align with your strategy, update the goal or program as per the trend based on your assessment of application scores.

You can navigate to the Application Portfolio Management Home page by clicking Application Portfolio > Application Strategy > Home. The role required is sn_apm.apm_analyst.

The Application Portfolio Management portal consists of a top panel, which provides a quick approach to view the application landscape and create your goals and programs:

The APM page shows the view landscape, create goal, create program, view roadmap options, and other key metrics.
View landscape
View the enterprise-wide applications landscape. Click to view the overall application assessment dashboard in a new tab.
Analyze portfolio
Analyze your applications and scores. You can directly navigate to the Group Analysis page to analyze the applications and scores without having to create an idea, a goal, or a program.
Create goal
Create a goal as laid out by the organization to track, align, and report the progress of the work towards it. For example, a goal could be set to reduce Capex or reduce the number of applications within a target date.
Create program
Create a program to link and track the ideas to meet the goals. APM takes you through a process to add targets, identify opportunities, and so on.
View roadmap
The application rationalization roadmap provides a timeline view of the applications used by the various business entities and grouped by the application categories.

It also has the following regions that give overall statistics of applications, categories, and so on.

Application overview
Provides a list of reports such as the number of applications, applications categories, manufacturers, and homegrown and COTS applications.
Recent Goals
Provides a list of goals that have been created. Click any of the goals to update the goal with additional details. Click View all to see the complete list of goals with the associated data.
Lists the programs that have been created with a target date.
Global filter (The filter icon)
Opens the Set Business Application window for you to select and save your filter preferences.
