MID Server installation The Management, Instrumentation, and Discovery (MID) Server is a Java server that facilitates communication and movement of data between an instance and external applications, data sources, and services. Important: All new MID Servers must be validated before use. This ensures that the MID Server is trusted to access credentials used by the instance for automations.
