Configure Discovery for privileged commands Administrators can specify a list of privileged commands for Discovery to use. Before you beginRole required: discovery_admin, adminCheck the host servers to ensure that sudo or one of its alternative commands is configured. For details, see Privileged commands for Discovery. About this task Procedure Use either of these procedures to configure the list of commands for a probe: In the Probe Parameters related list in the probe record, add a parameter called privileged_command. The value for this parameter is a comma separated list of privileged commands, such as sudo, pbrun, or pfexec. Create a new MID Server parameter called mid.ssh.privileged_commands. The value for this parameter is a comma separated list of privileged commands, such as sudo, pbrun, or pfexec Discovery goes through the list you configured and selects the first privileged command available. Note: The probe configuration overwrites the Mid Server configuration. If no configuration is found in either location, sudo is used as the default. If Discovery finds a configuration parameter, but the value is empty, sudo is assumed to be the privileged command.
