Install the encryption proxy on Linux

You can install an Edge Encryption proxy on a 32-bit or 64-bit Linux computer.

Before you begin

Java 8 is required to run the installer.

  1. Create the installation directory.
  2. Copy the Edge Encryption archive file to the installation directory.
  3. Change to the installation directory.
  4. Run the following command:
    java -jar edgeencryption-dist-<version> -m install -n <ProxyName> -h <host> -p <port> -proto https
    Table 1.
    Option Description
version The version number of the Edge Encryption release.
ProxyName The name of the encryption proxy instance.
    host Your instance.
port The port of your instance. When the protocol is https, the port is normally 443.

If you want to see the help screen, execute this command without arguments: java -jar edgeencryption-dist-<version>
