hr_change table does not reparent properly to hr_case table According to the Geneva release notes: "In addition, the [hr_change] table is merged with the [hr_case] during the upgrade. All HR cases and changes are placed in the [hr_case] table and the [hr_change] table is removed. Any customizations you made to either table are applied to the [hr_case] table."

A user upgraded from Fuji Patch 10 to Geneva Patch 4. They had custom columns on their hr_change table and expected that they be reparented to the hr_case table, but they were deleted along with the corresponding data.

In a Fuji instance:
  1. Verify the number of columns in the hr_case table (excluding reference).
  2. Add 4 columns to the hr_change table (Upgrade Field 1, 2, 3, 4).
  3. Request an upgrade to Geneva Patch 4.
  4. Verify that hr_change is now gone.
  5. Verify that during the upgrade, additional fields/columns were added to the hr_case table.
  6. Note there is no sign of the 4 columns that had been added to the hr_change table.
Customized fields and their corresponding data are gone after the upgrade.
