Monitor incoming alerts

From the alerts console, you can review the status of alerts. For example, you can view and filter all active alerts by severity.

Before you begin

Role required: evt_mgmt_admin, evt_mgmt_operator, or evt_mgmt_user

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Event Management > Alerts Console.
    The console header shows the total number of alerts by severity.
    Sort by severity
  2. To filter alerts by severity, click a color or move the slider.

    Show warning, minor, major, and critical alerts Click or slide to the blue icon.
    Show minor, major, and critical alerts Click or slide to the yellow icon.
    Show major and critical alerts Click or slide to the orange icon.
    Show critical alerts Click or slide to the red icon.

What to do next

To manage an alert, you can right-click it and select any of the following options.
Option Description
Run remediation Displays a list of remediations that can be executed for the alert. If no options are available, the alert does not match any alert rules that enable remediation. After remediation is executed, a remediation task is created with a reference to the alert.
Acknowledge Selects the Acknowledge check box on the Alert form to indicate that the alert is acknowledged.
Show properties Opens the Properties form to show more information about the alert.
Maintenance Selects the Maintenance check box on the Alert form to indicate that the related CI is receiving maintenance.
Close Marks the alert as closed to indicate that the alert is resolved and requires no additional action.
