Create credentials for Orchestration and Discovery

Orchestration or Discovery provide default Credential types to assign credentials and communicate with external systems.

About this task

You can use one of the following default credential types to add credentials for communication with external systems.
  • AWS: store basic authentication credentials for use by Discovery or Orchestration.
  • Basic Auth: store basic authentication credentials for use by Discovery or Orchestration.
  • CIM: store Common Information Model (CIM) for storage devices.
  • JDBC: store Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) credentials.
  • JMS: store Java Message Service (JMS) credentials.
  • SNMP Community: store community strings for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
  • SNMPv3: store SNMP credentials.
  • SSH: store Secure Shell (SSH) credentials for UNIX and Linux.
  • VMware: store VMware vCenter credentials for ESX machines, virtual machines, and resource pools.
  • Windows: store Windows credentials for windows computers.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Orchestration > Credentials.
  2. Click New.
  3. On the Credentials page click a link for the credential type and complete the form.
  4. Click Submit.
