View the Configuration Automation Overview page

The Configuration Automation Overview module displays gauges and lists that allow you to track and manage the configuration management process. The overview is a type of homepage where you can click to view additional data and add, edit, and move charts.

Before you begin

Role required to modify charts: config_auto_user or config_auto_admin

Procedure

Navigate to Configuration Automation > Overview to view the following information:
  • Pending Managed Nodes: The numbers of managed nodes in the In Draft, Awaiting approval, and Ready to deploy states.
  • Managed Nodes by Configuration Template: Chart displaying the number of managed nodes grouped by configuration template. A configuration template is called a node definition in Chef and Puppet.
  • Managed Nodes by Department: Chart displaying the number of managed nodes grouped by assigned department.
  • Managed Nodes by Operating System: Chart displaying the number of managed nodes grouped by operating systems.
  • Managed Nodes by Owner: Chart displaying the number of managed nodes grouped by the owner.
  • Deployed Nodes Daily: Chart displaying the number of deployed node counts by day for the past 30 days (ServiceNow Provider only).
  • Deployed Nodes Weekly: Chart displaying the number of deployed node counts by week for the past 6 months (ServiceNow Provider only).
  • Managed Nodes: List of managed nodes grouped by the defined configuration management provider.
