Note: You can perform bulk tagging or generate missing tag reports only with standard category tags. Select the table that is used to bulk-tag Amazon resources. Select Mandatory to require tagging for the selected table. Enter a description for the tag. Click Submit. Tags improve reporting for cloud resourcesCloud admins can enrich tracking and billing data for cloud resources by configuring the system to auto-tag resources when they are provisioned. For example, when resources are tagged with a "Cost Center" tag, the reports can present the billing data segregated by cost center. Create a tag ruleDuring provisioning, a tag rule can auto-tag a resource by testing for a match with a value that you specify (for example, the value of the Requested item field for the resource). When a match occurs, the system applies the specified tag to the provisioned resource.Restrictions on tagging VMs and CloudFormation stacksCloudFormation Administrators must follow the Amazon guidelines when defining a tag to assign metatdata to a VM or CloudFormation stack.Bulk tagging: Auto-assign tagsBulk tagging enables you to update the standard tag values for resources that were created outside of the ServiceNow instance.
